Fun Gang VS Occult Club (Deltarune VS DanDaDan)

"Monsters are real, and ghosts are real, too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win."

- Stephen King

The Delta Warriors, a group of misfits that are on a mythical quest to balance Light and Dark and save the world from calamity.

The "Occult Club": A group of a bunch of oddballs who, along with supernatural forces, work to protect the world from unnatural enemies.

You might think that when you look at a group of people, and deem them misfits, it's because they act bizarrely, right? What if they were vigilantes or aliens instead? You can't really tell who someone is just by looking at them and judging a book by it's cover. Everyone has something to protect, regardless, and sometimes you have to group up for a common ideal to do so. It's not a easy task, it requires a good team dynamic and leadership. If you've got that covered, then even if your teammates are the weirdest of weirdos, or the oddest of oddballs, then they'll 100% get a long and do their part.

While complicated, that's a good description of these two teams that accidentally stumbled upon forces that could threaten balance. They never knew each other much, but they had to learn alongside each other, and form tight bonds, which is how they're here today, still fighting for their own values. That's something honorable, if anything. But even then, you only know so little about someone... but trust goes a long way, and is truly the strongest power of them all.

Today, will the Delta Warriors prevail on top, their SOULS blazing through the hard battle, and having the declaration of victory at the end...

...or will the Occult Club figure them out, and powers together as one, take them all down in a bright flash of colors, coming out as a victor?

Before we Begin...

I am SO proud to announce that this is our second blog! If you haven't read the first (somehow) then read it here. Regardless, it's time for our second prediction blog, so let's get a basic overview.

We'll be using the mainline media for both of these teams, as well as taking in not only the normal team members, but we'll also be including some of their friends in this massive battle! It's going to be complicated, sure, but it should be easier than the last blog, let me say. SO, with all that settled, I just wanted you all readers to kick back and relax for another blog!

We'll also be using VSBattles, but also some other calculations and blogs for the other series, so I hope you enjoy, truly, because this blog is also going to have a bunch of work put in by multiple of us, not just me. So enough talking, and let's begin.

Side note, this blog will be insanely wacky and humorous considering how both series operate. So take note.

As always,

Major Spoilers!

Background

Delta Warriors

  • Also known as: Fun Gang, $!$! Squad, and the Lancer Fan Club
  • Susie: Likes chalk and Noelle, dislikes pacifists
  • Ralsei: Likes marshmallows and Kris, likes pacifists
  • Kris: Likes friends, dislikes pixelated heart
  • Funny gang :)
Long ago, there was a legend whispered among the Dark world... a legend that dictated the fate of everything light and dark.

Sounded awfully dramatic for Kris, the quiet kid of the school, and especially Susie, the local bully, when a mysterious prince, identified as Ralsei, prince of the Underground Dark World believed them three to be the chosen heroes in the prophecy. I mean, he's a fluffy boy, who can say no? But after falling through a chasm in their closet leading to the Dark (all because of chalk btw), Nobody really knew what to expect.

So Kris and Susie decided to investigate and team up with Ralsei to SAVE the world, fighting battles with Kris's mysterious red SOUL, and ACTING to journey and purify Fountains of Darkness with that SOUL before things got of hand. Nothing could stop them, as they've already decided 10 hours ago that they were gonna do this.

Sealing the Dark Fountains and restoring balance daily, meeting enemies along the way, and more allies to that as well, all leading up to a being known as the Knight, the supposed mastermind of all that's happened throughout the story.

But how were these fountains coming up, anyways?

Apparently, that SOUL, the very essence of YOUR being, is a clue. You think I mean Kris's soul? Think again, because after all, nobody chooses who they get to be in this world, as you control Kris throughout this journey (and not that OC I spent 20 minutes designing) and quite literally. Let's just say Kris... and YOU...

Aren't actually the same person.

Occult Club

  • Also known as... IDK really
  • Goals: get Ken's balls back, and protect the world from bad guys
  • Ken: Likes aliens and "Miss Ayase", dislikes bullies
  • Momo: Likes ghosts and "Okarun", dislikes pointing her head up
  • Aira: Likes popularity and Okarun too, dislikes trays
  • Jiji: likes making fun of pointing fingers up, dislikes silence

Momo Ayase had just broken up with her honestly ass of a boyfriend, the one she solely dated for looking like her celebrity crush, Ken Takakura, which is honestly just sad. Later that day, she saves a picked on nerd reading an alien magazine from getting hospitalized, and calls the subject "cool" to which said nerd gets into a debate with her later about aliens, to which she argues that spirits are real instead. So they make a bet. Momo would head to a abandoned building where aliens are supposedly inhabiting, and the nerd to a haunted tunnel. Both at night, so spooky.

Things kind of take a turn for the worse.

The spirit named Turbo Granny (she's horny AF) begins to chase the boy down the tunnel at 100 km/h, and Momo gets abducted by aliens (they're horny AF) who kinda of need bananas (If you know, you know.) Luckily - or not, said nerd merges with Turbo Granny by losing his privates, and by phasing through her phone proceeds to kick the alien's asses! Oh and Momo gets psychic powers through one of her own grandmother's lessons. She also kicks ass. At the end of the day, Momo realizes she doesn't even know his name, and so she asks.

"Ken Takakura." He replies. No, not the celebrity. So Momo freaks for 2 seconds, before just giving him the nickname "Okarun" to call him by because she's embarrassed. And with that, that marked the beginning of their journey, gaining new allies such as Turbo Granny in a cat doll, the school's beauty Aira, and Momo's former crush Jiji, who all get their own spirits. And even Momo's awfully hot and young looking grandmother comes along because she's basically like the Nanami of DanDaDan.

So without further ado, they head out to save the world! Whether it's stopping a alien invasion, or exorcising spirits, you know who to call.

No legend of Dan Da Dan, sadly, but they have a fire theme song.

Team Members

We'll include both Major and Minor team members. For Major, it's the relevant people we'll focus on, and for Minor, they're for a bonus scenario, for fun.

Delta Warriors

(For Minor Team Members, we will be citing all their allies that have partook in at least one battle allied to the Fun Gang.)

Major

Kris

The main character and leader of our group. We control them and their leadership throughout the series, solving puzzles and fighting through their SOUL, as well as their teammates ACTING upon their orders, which you guide. At the end of the day, you use YOUR SOUL to purify those pesky dark fountains, the same SOUL that inhabits Kris.

However... things are not what they seem. You're the one doing everything, because it's your SOUL, that red heart, not Kris's. Kris is a separate being from you, and let's just say they're not exactly showing signs of being heroic much (unless snowgrave)... Pointing towards the villains side, honestly, when they take back their own body.

For now though, we'll never know who they are, or why they're our vessel, but we continue to inhabit their body to save the world, and team up with their friends. Just another reminder that we're the ones interacting with the world in Kris's body, not Kris themselves.

Susie

One of our side protagonists. No, we don't inhabit her body, she has her own personality, but we do dictate what she does in battle as a team member. She's the school bully, and assigned to be your group project partner. She eventually leads you to the supply closet to find chalk for your teacher (which she all ate) and that's how we're here.

The heavy hitter of the team, and has a quite evil laugh ngl. She's also the tallest and most menacing of the group. 100% Chaotic Good-Neutral.

Ralsei

The prince of the Dark World, and the third hero in the legend. You, Kris, and Susie stumbled upon him when entering the Dark World for the first time. No, wait, that's the other prince. You actually meet him shortly afterwards. As the team's support member, he specializes in healing the party and pacifying enemies by putting them to sleep when tired. He likes marshmallows.

He's the fluffy boy of our team, everyone loves him! He also likes Kris (yes) so we also support our fluffy boy to the end. He's the second most likeable character, behind our other prince...

Minor Team Members

Lancer

The GOAT.

The Prince of Spades, having been the first antagonist the party met when they fell into the Dark World. Although considered the "bad guy" at first, even by himself, he eventually became best friends with Susie and assisted the party out at times afterward, being a portable card until manifested.

His primary attacks involve throwing and used spade-like projectiles and running you over with his kickass bike. If you chose his note, you'll become the Lancer Fan Club. Our glorious king deserves it after all.

Noelle

A minor party member in Chapter 2. She is a kind, yet somewhat shy (especially when around Susie) reindeer girl that wields a ring to manifest ice powers. Although not much of a fighter, being clumsy at that, there's a route where she does become more skilled (although it requires hospitalizing Berdly and traumatizing her, but oh well).

Hates mice running into her, apparently.

Berdly

The annoying nerd. However, we all still like him, he soloes. He only helped once in a battle, with him gathering Darkners to construct the Thrash Machine to fight Queen's giant mech, but he still helped out. He's also present in like, one room as a party member, but he also does manage to make Queen retreat after a small battle (in which he was hypnotized, so... yay?)

Is currently frozen in Snowgrave (if you were fine with destroying Noelle's mental health)

Smart Race is such a banger bro-

Gerson Boom

The Dark World counterpart to his late Light World self, who was a author. He has literally infinite Dark Candy, counting for literally infinite heals. He has a notorious amount of ways to protect the part and raise the oppenent's MERCY. He can also use Dual Buster, in which he and Susie attack with their Busters without costing any TP.

However, the biggest drawback is that Susie just suffers around him in battle. ("PLEASE GERSON I NEED THIS") Also known as the hammer of justice.

However, his use is debatable, considering the fact that Ralsei states he can't even be in Castle Town, so he's a maybe. For now.

The Original                   Starwalker

This death battle is Pissing me off

I'm the Original            Starwalker

Occult Club

Major Team Members

Momo Ayase

The leader of the Occult Club, essentially the first one who actually formed it, along with Okarun. She has a crush on the actor Ken Takakura, and when she found out Okarun's name, she gave him that nickname out of embarrassment. Granddaughter of Seiko Ayase, a famous spirit hunter, and got her powers through her lessons.

Uses spirit hands (Lucy is that you) as psychokenesis to spiritually interact with objects. Only people with powers of or that similar to of spirits can see these "hands". Also Okarun's love interest (just kiss already vro)

Ken "Okarun" Takakura

The class geek and secondary protagonist, and Momo's almost-boyfriend. Given the nickname "Okarun" by her to cover up his real celebrity-like name. After a... incident which the spirit Turbo Granny stole his balls (no I'm not lying), he gained powers to turn into a hybrid form, gaining incredibly fast running speed as a result. Too bad he becomes emo while transforming into said form.

This guy is basically Elio but darker. Yes, he was a alien addict. Too bad he found out they were real and horny, god damn.

Shiratori Aira

Star of the class, the most beautiful and popular girl in school. She had a minor god complex at first and believed she was chosen after finding Okarun's golden balls (how do we tell her). She becomes better though, and after gaining the powers of Acrobatic Silky, her hair becomes longer, she becomes... acrobatic, and packs a mean kick, not punch.

Also had unrequited awkward feelings for Okarun. Got him into awkward situations between him and his real love interest.

Jiji

Momo Ayase's former crush. He used to make a little bit fun of her for doing her grandma's daily tradition or whatever. He eventually joins the gang, gaining the powers of Evil Eye, another spirit. (That's really been blowing up recently, huh) He learns to harness ki and fire it out as a blast, or utilize Spiral Power (Simon?) to enhance it.

This pretty much means he has the Infinite Rotation Shot we're finished

Minor Team Members

Seiko Ayase(?)

Momo's grandmother and what some might consider to be a Gojo figure in Dandadan, although she's more irritable than funny. She teaches the group everything they know, and sometimes assists them, although she hasn't exactly helped out in every battle they've been in, though.

Why is she this hot for her age-

Kinta Sakata

The guy with the funny chin. He carries around a nanoskin which can be used to summon the Great Kinta, a massive robot that can kick ass, or even make a full on bike straight out of Akira. It's used for various tools as well.

He's a bit of a pervert. But then again, he's just like Berdly ngl - cool but weird.

Bamora/Vamola

A literal fucking alien. Being from outer space, duh, she is a overwhelmingly kind-hearted person. She wields a exosuit in combat, which can grow to the size of Great Kinta. And that thing is gianormous. She's basically Godzilla in that form. As if it didn't already come up before, Goji references are back again.

We need more people like her in this world ngl.

Turbo Granny Plush

LEMME GOBBLE YOUR (censored because ew)
AND YOU CAN SUCKLE MY TEATS!!!!

Equipment

Delta Warriors

Misc.

  • Everybody Weapon - Anyone in this party can use it. It felt just right for everybody, according to it's description.
  • Dark Shard - A fragment of the Roaring Knight's sword that deals extra damage to Dark enemies.
  • Jingle Blade - Formed from the Holiday Pen when entering the Dark Worlds.
  • Broken Sword - A sword broken into two, which nobody can wield out of shame. Effect is literally called "Failure".

Sword

Kris wields a sword as their main weapon, with it being able to turn into a shield. They turn into pencils Percy Jackson style in the the Light World. Some of their weapons and their specific buffs include:
  • Spookysword - Spookiness UP - +1 Attack
  • Trefoil - Increases money found by 5%
  • BounceBlade - Weak, but increases the user's defense. +1 Defense
  • Winglade - Same as Trefoil, increases money earned.
  • Saber10 - Made of 10 cactus needles... ouch
  • Mecha Saber - Opens when you press the hilt. Quite addicting.

Axe

Susie's signature weapon, used for kicking ass. Some of her weapons that she uses and their buffs include ranging from:
  • Devilsknife - Reduces RudeBuster cost by 10. It looks like a scythe. (Buffy having scythe that looks like a axe and Susie a axe that looks like a scythe.)
  • AbsorbAx - Can absorb HP from the opponent when attacking them.
  • ToxicAx - Not poison, it's just kinda gross apparently.
  • JusticeAx - Nothing special, but you became stronger in the process!
  • BraveAx - Suitable for heroes. Increases Guts

Scarf

Yes, Ralsei uses... scarves as his arsenal. It's literally Edgar from Brawl Stars, but not emo and way better cute fluffy boy, I guess. Some of his scarves include:
  • Ragger - Don't ask me why it's called that. Slashes enemies like a dagger, duh.
  • CheerScarf - Increases TP from criticals and increases Magic by 2. You can do it!
  • FlexScarf - Increases Magic by 1.
  • FiberScarf - Balances Magic and Attack. +2 Magic and Attack.
  • ScarfMark - Increases Magic and Defense by 1.

Armor

A universal defense mechanism. Anyone can wear up to two armor items when equipped in the in-game menu. Armor ranges from:
  • Jevilstail - +2 Attack, Defense and Magic.
  • Dealmaker - +5 Defense and Magic, 30% more money from battles, and reduces damage from Puppet/Cat types by 40%. Hell yeah.
  • PrincessRBN - Elegant as hell. +4 Defense and +2 Attack.
  • BlueRibbon - +1 Defense and Magic, and increases effectiveness of healing items/spells by the holder by 12.5%
  • ShadowMantle - Decreases damage from Dark/Star attacks by 66%, and +1 Defense for every chapter completed, so 4 at best.
  • GoldWidow - +5 Defense, +1 Attack and Magic, but 10% less money gained from battles.
  • SpikeShackle - +3 Attack and +1 Defense, ironically for armor.
  • TensionBow - Gain 10% more TP from grazing bullets, +2 Defense.
  • SkyMantle - +Defense, and reflects 50% of damage done by Holy/Electric attacks back at the oppenent.
  • Wafeguard - +4 Defense. Contains magical energy that blunts attacks on impact, reducing damage to the wearer.
There are far more, with varying effects for each armor, but these are the more notable ones.

Thrash Machine (via Berdly, technically)

The Fun Gang's personal mech formed by other Darkners and Berdly in their fight against GIGA Queen. Originally designed in chapter 1, the Thrash Machine becomes a mech inheriting the effects of the "head" you chose for it back then.

It throws a mean punch, capable of damaging opponents quite well and even knocking back attacks thrown at them. It can also sidestep quite well and duck down to avoid attacks, before instantly coming back for a big counterattack.

It include's it's own powers, like:
  • Head - Depending on what head the player chose in chapter one, the mech can have these powers:
    • LaserMode - Activates a power boost that makes you much faster, with a "light-quick" aura and increasing attack speed and a little damage boost as well.
    • SwordMode -  For every hit the Thrash Machine lands, the attack damage will continue to increase, with this buff massively stacking until it misses a attack.
    • FireMode - Powers up attacks massively, starting out at 420 initial damage as part of a attack, which is 2-3x as much as before.
    • DuckMode - Yes. Grants a healing ability, with the initial attack healing 35 HP and hitting the enemy healing 2 HP each, and reflecting their  big attacks (I.E Queen's baseball) granting 4 HP each.
  • SELF-FIX - Heals 100 HP when used.
  • TurboDodge - Increases speed and dodge effectiveness.

Occult Club

Bats

Momo once brought along four bats that, when used with her psychic powers, were able to be used in combat quite well. She can use them from a close range, or she can launch them at her foes as well, making it a useful tool in battle.

Nanoskin

One of Team Occult Club's biggest weapons, a patch of nanoskin that can transform into mostly anything (no, it can't become STTGL or something, sadly). But it can shapeshift into many things, like a jetpack, a Akira motorcycle, a rocket car, a hoverboard, a SMALL suit of armor, and even a convenience store counter that fires PARTICLE BEAMS.

Most notably, however, it can transform into the Great Kinta, a giant mech that towers as big as large buildings.

Great Kinta (via Nanoskin and Kinta)

The Occult Club's good old mech. It towers above skyscrapers and can match Bamora's own Exosuit at it's peak, who's height was around 45 meters. It's strong enough to even swing around buildings. However, the big downside is that the Nanoskin itself isn't that durable, but Kinta can make it regenerate itself for a while to try and counter this.

See below in the Skills and Abilites section for more info on it.

Exosuit (via Bamora)

Bamora's own exosuit. While looking cute at it's smallest height, it's incredibly scary at it's peak. It once grappled with the Great Kinta, and can grow up to 45 meters tall based off Bamora's own will. It's a Godzilla-like suit with the ability to turn somewhat invisible via reflecting light (unless multiple people view it from multiple angles), although the golden ball is still able to be seen. It can also fire off a long range electrical beam.

Don't ask me how Bamora also gained the ability to transform her clothing with it too.

Skills and Abilities

Before we move on to this section, a disclaimer that due to the lack of actual HAX (OP abilities) in both series, we'll just be listing their abilities down, and not their hax. However, we will list some of that in the "Resistances" section.

Delta Warriors

FIGHT

The first option you can select in the battle UI. Upon selecting this, a quick time events occurs, with more damage appearing for the more damage you deal. Once dealt enough damage, the enemy just flees from the battle. A perfect quick-time also earns 6 TP, and decreasing a enemy's health below 50% will make them TIRED, allowing for the magic spell Pacify or Sleep Mist to instantly knock said enemy out of the fight.

Suprisingly, this can ignore distance because it can attack people from a distance despite him not moving forward, such as attack Rouxls Card despite a acid lake separating the two.

SPARE

By raising a enemy's MERCY by performing ACTS on them, you'll be able to SPARE them, causing the enemy to leave the fight and have one less foe to deal with. However, we won't be needing a SPARE option in a DEATH battle.

However, I guess it does count as BFR, technically. Trust

DEFEND

Self-explanatory. When DEFEND is used, the party's TP increases greatly (by 16%) and the SOUL takes less damage for that party member that DEFENDS. This is a viable move for taking hits while preparing something big.

ITEM

Allows individual members of the party to use certain items during their turn. Mostly for healing purposes.

Some items include:

  • Dark Candy - Heals 40 HP to a party member
    • Darker Candy - Heals 120 HP
  • CD Bagel - Heals 80 HP to a party member
  • Ralsei's Manual - If read to the enemy during a battle, can make them TIRED, allowing them to be put to sleep easily
  • Top Cake - Heals 160 HP to the team
  • Life Dew - Revives a downed ally to partial HP
  • Revive Mint - Revives a downed ally to full HP
  • Revive Brite - Revives all downed allies to full HP
  • Bitter Tear - Raises a single person's health to full.
  • Ancient Sweet - Heals 40 HP, unless given to Kris, in which it heals 400 instead.
  • Favorite Sandwich - Heals 500 HP.
  • Tension Bit - Raises TP by 32%
  • Tension Max - Raises TP by 100%
  • Dealmaker - Summons Spamton
  • Jevilstail - Summons Jevil (Possibly?)

ACT

The most important option. Ralsei claims even the most evil enemies will be affected by ACTS of kindness. It varies from enemy to enemy. It can be charismatic, such as Flirt or Compliment, or the opposite like Insult or Threaten. Kris, being the leader, can ACT on their own. Their ACTS include;

  • Talk - Reasons with the enemy, simple enough.
  • X-Slash - Performs two slashes in a X pattern
  • Check - Checks the oppenent's stats and weaknesses
  • Lullaby - Ralsei sings a enchanting lullaby, causing the enemy to fall asleep instantly, regardless of whether they are tired or not.
  • Goodnight - If a enemy is tired, then Kris can simply wish them "Goodnight" and they just fall asleep, and can be stacked with Lecture, trust
  • RedBuster - with Susie, powers up her Rude Buster with the SOUL, dealing more damage than normal
  • Dual Heal - Boosts Ralsei using the SOUL, allowing him to heal the entire party instead of one person.
  • Brighten - Ralsei increases the frequency of light in a area (trust), causing the area of light to grow larger.
  • OldMan - Gerson enters the battle, which does a variety of effects, such as:
    • Skip Susie's turn but increase all the enemies's Spare meter
    • Heals everyone but Susie with candy, while raising all of the enemy's mercy levels
    • He will drop his cane, and it will travel where attacks won't hit so that Kris's SOUL can dodge them
    • Recruits enemies for himself, ending the battle
He can call upon party members to assist him, to more effectiveness. ACTs are usually used to build up the Spare meter, but they can be used to weaken enemies or tough up the party members for the turn.

Susie and Ralsei can also increase the Spare meter via S and R-ACT, respectively, although not by as much as Kris.

Team members can help out in ACTs to increase the Spare meter more than normally, overall affecting the quality of a ACT. Plus, depending on the opponent, there would be different ACTs as well. So when he's fighting the Occult Club, you never know what might pop up.

MAGIC/SKILL

The second most important command in battle. This allows Susie and Ralsei, and maybe Noelle, to use their magic and skills in battle using TP.

TP can be increased by guarding, dealing damage, and "grazing" attacks, in which the SOUL stays close to a attack that was fired at it. There are also certain items that increase TP.

Susie's Spells

  • RudeBuster - Susie's signature spell. Launches a purple arrow at the enemy, and can have it's damage increased if concentrated at the right moment (By pressing CONFIRM), Costs 50% TP, 40% if the Devilsknife is equipped.
  • S-Action - Raises a single enemy's spare meter by a little
  • Supercharge - Boost's the yellow SOUL's power, allowing for it's shots to be more powerful
  • Axe Throw - Susie in her fight with Lancer against Ralsei and Kris could throw multiple axes that boomerang around the board.

Ralsei's Spells

  • Pacify - Puts enemies to sleep when tired, effectively rendering them unable to fight, costs 16% TP
  • Heal Prayer - Moderately heals a party member of their injuries. Cost's 32% TP
  • R-Action - Similar to S-Action, see above
  • FluffyGuard - Creates two fluffy orbs rotating around the SOUL, which can block bullets and attacks, but take damage and eventually fade. Can summon up to 4 orbs that shield the SOUL. Costs 16% TP
  • LightUp - Generates light that can brighten the area in a dark place, costs 1% TP, Brighten is the enhanced version, essentially
  • ReviveKris - A mini Ralsei (yes) goes up to Kris and heals them specifically back to full HP.

Noelle's Spells

  • Heal Prayer - Noelle's is slightly different, summoning a heavenly light that restores HP
  • Sleep Mist - Noelle summons a cold mist that puts every tired enemy in the vicinity to sleep
  • IceShock - Using ice magic, deals high damage, and can freeze enemies solid.
  • N-Action - Similar to S-Action
  • SnowGrave - Ah yes, that one. Summons a miniature blizzard that will freeze enemies solid in a ice crystal. Could bypass durability, as it is stated to directly deal explicitly fatal damage to all enemies, even causing them to fade away if used on a normal enemy (by sparing Berdly during the fight and aborting the move, you can use it on normal people in the previous room), Costs 100% TP
  • Ice Shield - Not a actual spell, but she summons a wall of ice when defending

Others

Lancer

  • His first attack involves revving up his bike and running you over, or trying to. That's it.
  • Does the same as before, but U-turns while firing projectiles at the target
  • Causes a rain of spade projectiles from the top of the screen
  • Summons spade projectiles from the side of the combat area, launching them
  • Is the goat (yes)

Berdly

  • Tornado1 - Summons waves of tornados that fly across the arena, sweeping enemies and dealing damage
  • Tornado2 - Summons 4 tornados that fly towards the center from outside the arena, doing this in succession
  • Chirashi - Summons a lot of papers with A+s on them, before firing them at the target
  • Spear Blast - Creates a path in the arena where projectiles will move at high speeds through, and those projectiles create more bullets which fly outwards to the left and right of the path, flying all over the screen in a chaotic attack.

Gerson

Gerson's Supply of Dark Candies

Gerson has infinite Dark Candies (trust). In the fight against the Titan, whenever someone was downed, he instantly healed them at the end of the turn with some candy. It's IMPLIED he can do this indefinitely every time someone is downed. Maybe... I dunno. (See One Last Thing(s))

why tf does Gerson have this many on him

Susie's Idea

Susie will grab one of her team members (notably Kris) and fucking AIM them at the target. When her power and aim are set, she will yeet said teammate right at the opponent, whether it be for a weak point or something else.

The SOUL (See "Spiritual Beings" for more info)

The soul is a entity appeared to be connected to us. Actually, that's incorrect, because it IS us as the player. Some characters in Deltarune, like Kris and Ralsei, at display knowledge of the SOUL. We possess Kris as a vessel and control them. We're the ones doing all the leading and work, and in the end, we're the one that purifies the Dark Fountains. However, I don't think Kris likes us that much...

Misc.

Clairvoyance

Kris can close their eyes, and imagine what another person is doing, being able to see things from their perspective and understand what they're planning and where they are.

Supernatural Willpower

Kris can survive without their SOUL for a period of time, which contains their will, which means that they are still able to have something to cling to. When fighting the Titans, they didn't go below 1 HP when attacked at a certain point. Not to mention DETERMINATION-

Mind Reading (via the SOUL)

When interacting with other people at certain times, the player can read their thoughts in the text box on the screen, as shown with Noelle in Chapter 4 of the Snowgrave route.

Energy Blasts

When Kris's SOUL is yellow, they gain the ability to fire off bullets back at the opponent while dodging attacks. Can also charge up "Big Shots" which are more powerful. They even gain the ability to danmaku Big Shots by spamming 30 per second.

They could also utilize this via Sharpshooter to a more limited extent.

Sealing/Purification

Kris's SOUL can emit a bright light and glow enough to seal Dark Fountains shut and even Titans, nullifying their power. This also purifies darkness as well.

SOUL Manipulation

Pretty obvious. Multiple people in Deltarune can interact with and harm the SOUL in battle. That's literally the whole point of the game, and many low-level grunts have the ability to interact with it as well. Not to mention Kris can physically take the SOUL out of their body.

Monsters in Undertale (I know its not Deltarune, but they should be similar) have been shown to have SOULs, and Frisk's own yellow mode could damage Mettaton's SOUL as well (yes he has a SOUL true lab implies it guys!!!). (Debatable)

Extrasensory Perception

Ralsei can perceive and sense dark presences, even from entire Dark Worlds away.

Dark Fountain Creation

Many people in the verse, as long as they're Lightners (dunno about the Knight), one can summon enough DETERMINATION and plunge a blade into the ground, calling upon the darkness from below. These fountains are the source of entire Dark Worlds, and can be made by people such as; Kris, Susie, Berdly (implied) and Queen speculates Noelle can make one too.

However, creating a Fountain in a already-formed Dark World will summon a Titan similar to it's energy instead. (shown above, though not the Titan part).

The only thing we've seen so far that can purify or seal Dark Fountains is the SOUL.

Occult Club

Psychokinesis

Momo's signature trait. Momo has a pair of two giant extending psychic ghost hands or whatever that she uses in combat. They can lift things like and throw them at enemies, block attacks, or restrain the enemy, both physically and spiritually, as it's been shown to nullify Turbo Granny's curse. She can also grab onto moving things and use those arms to latch on to it, moving along with it. These arms have been able to phase through objects and heal internal wounds, although the latter requires the attention of Momo, leaving her open. It's not like she touches them and poof.

Power of Words

Seiko can shout out her bat's name, Nessie, before swinging, causing more devastating attack power, as a example.

Yokai (See "Spiritual Beings" for more info)

Jiji, Okarun, and Aira have the curses of certain yokai inhabiting their bodies. They can transform into a hybrid forme, save for Jiji, who doesn't like to use Evil Eye too often and sticks to Ki. By transforming into a hybrid forme, they can enhance their capabilities and utilize the said yokai's inherit abilities as well. They're also already quite superhuman without the hybrid formes, too.

Spiral Power

OMFG GURREN LAGANN??????? JOHNNY JOESTAR???????? PEAK FICTION????????

So yeah, that aside. They have Spiral Power, which is a constant force in the universe, according to Seiko. They can be applied to basically anything (literally the JJBA Spin). It's a simple yet effective thing to add to your moves and helps with more power.

When spun in certain directions, the Spiral Power can be applied to things like Jiji's Evil Gun to hit corporeal and incorporeal. Hell, it even allowed him to hit a smoke yokai once. Talk about complicated stuff, but who cares? GURREN LAGANN REFERENCE!!!!

Sorry, I'm fanboying over this.

Ki

A power that allows one to utilize their spiritual energy. Constantly flowing through one's body, it can only be ultilized through proper training. By concentrating ki into a certain area, on can project it out as a beam, like Jiji's Evil Gun above. With enough control and concentration on a direct point, it can temporarily cancel out a curse's effect, such as when Jiji used a bit to hold back Evil Eye. However, this is only possible through direct contact, such as when Jiji temporarily suppressed Reiko Kashima inside of Momo, but had to stay with her until it left. It can also ease one's pain from injuries.

Spiritual Sensing

After awakening her powers, Momo gained the ability to sense the "aura" of other. All things have aura, and if she closes her eyes, she can sense auras blocked from view. She can also use this to sense people that are invisible. However, this makes her also more vulnerable to detection as of awakening her powers, because being spiritually aware allows others to sense you as well.

Power Nullification

Like we've said earlier, Momo can use her psychic powers to nullify curses such as Turbo Granny by "squeezing" the aura shut. However, if she loses focus, or if she's knocked out, her grip will release. Jiji can also do this to a extent with ki, although he has to stay by the target's side to devote his focus into temporarily sealing them.

Telephone Wire Travel

Okarun, via Turbo Granny, gains the ability to somehow travel through telephone wires. This allows him to move much faster, and he can use this in combat if strategic enough. While Okarun needs telephone wires nearby to use this easily, Turbo Granny herself while in full control could travel through Momo and Okarun's cell phones. Okarun can't pull this off himself, as Turbo Granny is in another body and can't do it either, but maybe one day he'll be able to. For now, it's unlikely.

Astral Projection

Okarun has literally been able to turn into a ghost, becoming immune to damage unless you can damage spirits. In it, he's been able to travel between cities in a second, and has been able to move between landline phones. However, he can't stay in this form too long, otherwise the link between his body and spirit will break, and he won't be able to return to his body.

However, he achieved this form by PURE ACCIDENT and has not used this again intentionally. Thus, it is currently unusuable until he uses it for real.

Exorcism

Seiko can use her "Mystic Barriers" by drawing lines that can prevent inherently evil spirits from entering a certain area or even exiting a circle, for example. However, this does depend on whether a certain regional god Seiko gains power from has control over the area, and must visit temples for 3 days to thank the god's power. It also only applies to evil spirits, but it is extremely useful and deadly to them in that regard.

BFR (Evil Spirits w. Pomade)

Momo can utter the word "Pomade" a certain amount of times to expel evil spirits from the dimension only temporarily, having used it on Reiko Kashima one. It also works like antibiotics, becoming less effective over time. If you say it 10 times once, then next time it's 100, then 1000, and so on. That becomes problematic and can be somewhat interrupted. It also... like most of their arsenal... works on evil spirits, so like imagine realizing it's not an evil spirit and you just made it harder.

Misc. Techniques

  • Moe Moe Tri-Beam - (KIKOHO!!!!) Momo puts her hands in front of her in a heart-shape, calling out it's name and firing a powerful psychic blast in front of her, and can somehow hit enemies in another dimension via hax (not through speed, it's like Sukuna's WCS), although the attack becomes FAR less effective when her energy is low.
  • Evil Gun - Using ki, Jiji concentrates his energy into a palm wave, destroying anything in his path. This can be enhanced with Spiral Power, too, applying the Power of the Spin to it and causing a rotational force. However, this can cause injuries to his own hands as well.
      • (Legit gyro zeppleleli!!! pizza mozeralla!!!!)
  • All-Out - Okarun can access Turbo Granny's top speed in a powerful ram at 100 km/h, which she consistently claims is her top speed. The downside is that it can make him feel sick, so he uses it 2 times per battle at most.
  • Ha Wave - Jiji fires a invisible shockwave from his hands that can knock anything in his path backwards... wait is this a fucking Kamehameha reference-
  • Pirouette Noble Drill - Using Spiral Power, Aira uses her hair and wraps herself in it, before charging at the opponent and piercing them. Can stack upon the Power of Words. Okay, you cannot convince me that this isn't a Gurren Lagann reference.
  • Hot Wind Straight Fist Punch - Literally just a generic punch from the Great Kinta.
  • Hyper Gora Slasher - The Great Kinta delivers a straight chop to the opponent, dealing concise damage.
  • Daedalus Acha - The Great Kinta performs a upwards kick at the opponent.
  • Rocket Punch - The Great Kinta uses it's detachable arms and fires it's arm at the opponent as a projectile.
  • Super Electrowave Tornado - The Great Kinta grabs it's target and swings them around before launching them away a great distance.

Resistances

Delta Warriors

Extreme Temperatures

Kris was once in temperatures that measured at 999F, and -999F, respectively. They were literally completely fine despite this.

Fire Manipulation

Kris was mostly unharmed and not burned upon coming into contact with fire in the cooking minigame, and they were only somewhat staggered. Even then, they still take low damage from this.

Freezing and Ice Manipulation

Unlike normal enemies, which, when defeated with IceShock, freeze solid. Berdly, who's innate weakness was ICE, was unable to be frozen by IceShock upon defeat, although a... more powerful... freezing spell can do the trick to Berdly. The Fun Gang themselves are much more powerful, and scale above this feat.

Acid Manipulation

The SOUL was once submerged in acid, and was not burned or impeded. Said acid could dissolve a large golden statue, so even if they take damage, they still resist the dissolution effects.

Shock/Paralysis and (Limited) Electricity Manipulation

The SOUL was once shocked for 8 consecutive seconds, and although taking damage, the SOUL was perfectly able to keep moving around without signs of being electrocuted.

SOUL Manipulation

Susie, Kris and Ralsei can resist damage being dealt to Kris's SOUL, and even more so with things like DEFEND. Lancer can also take attacks with Susie, which have previously hit Kris's SOUL in their battle against it.

Darkness Manipulation

The wearer of the ShadowMantle armor gets these buffs. The armor allows for "shadows to slip off like water".

Sleep Manipulation

Kris has literally themselves been immune to Ralsei's lullaby, while Susie herself was affected, however. Lancer is also resistant to this, as far as we've seen, too.

Mind Manipulation

At the end of Queen's first boss fight, Berdly manages to resist and break out of the mind control wire Queen has him in, but was weakened afterwards and took like, the whole fight to achieve this. But the Fun Gang could possibly upscale from this.

Occult Club

Intense Heat

Momo and Okarun could fight against Acrobatic Silky, and could withstand the burns created by it's hair. This was also pretty early on in the series

BFR via Sealing

Thanks to her powers, Momo could break out of a pocket dimension after being absorbed by the Leader's Carved Space. This is because her powers 'transcend dimensions' so she's clearly Outer.  (See One Last Thing(s)) Due to the unique nature of her powers, this resistance is only applicable to Momo.

Empathic/Emotional Manipulation

Even at the beginning of the show, Momo temporarily resisted the Serpo's psychokinetic abilities, which could interfere with and control brainwaves.

Jiji himself was also unaffected by Tsukinoko's brain waves that caused people affected by it to off themselves, although this full on immunity is likely only for Jiji only, as it's stated that his large spiritual power was the reason, which the others don't seem to replicate to a similar degree.

Aura Manipulation

People with supernatural abilities can survive being somewhat eaten by a yokai, in which the case of a normal person, it causes their aura to vanish and them to die as well.

yes that's it bruh

SOUL

"It's what they call 'you'."

One of the most critical parts in Deltarune. Kris's SOUL is a important part of the story and combat. It's the main thing you have to hit in the game to do damage to the Fun Gang, (unless cutscenes smh) and it's able to emit a bright, purifying light, which can close Dark Fountains and repel darkness.

In combat, it dodges attacks, and if it goes close to bullets within a certain range, it can graze those attacks to gain Tension Points, or TP as we known it. However, with certain modes, it can change how it acts in combat.

The SOUL has three different modes:
  • Red - Normal mode. Able to move around across the screen to dodge and graze bullets being thrown at it.
  • Yellow - Similar properties to Red, but this time it turns yellow and faces right, gaining the ability to fire out bullet's of it's own at the enemy, destroying their attacks and interrupting their moves. Charging up a shot leads to a BIG Shot, which is a more powerful variation. The SOUL can also spam big shots up to 30 times per second, which canonically pisses Spamton off. Look at his face! You KNOW Toby thought of this.
  • Green - During the fight with our glorious Hammer of Justice, the SOUL gained a shield which blocked attacks from up to 8 different directions based on it's focus. However, it was immobile during this time, but could immediately go back to Red mode if the shield is destroyed.
The biggest and most important part about Kris's SOUL though, is that it really is actually YOU, the player of the game itself. You're the one controlling Kris, and their adventures throughout the game, like a puppet, and the one who knows how to memorize boss patterns. And Kris knows...

It can also come back from a game over to retry a battle from the beginning of it with all knowledge as the player. (Debatable)

Occult Club

Turbo Granny

"Suckle my- (yeah I'm not finishing that)"

The oddly lewd spirit said to roam in a haunted tunnel. It's legend describes it running as fast as 100 km/h. Okarun first encountered Granny on a dare with Momo, causing him to be possessed by the spirit and gain it's powers in exchange for his kintama, or privates really.

In his second fight, he managed to attain a hybrid like form that's usually depressed and bored, but does listen to Momo. It even calls her by her first name, rather than "Miss Ayase" which Okarun himself addresses Momo by, but he still remains conscious within the form. Similar to Turbo Granny, it can run up to 100 km/h at full speeds, but only in 2 small bursts known as "All-Outs" as we've discussed earlier.

Despite it's fast speed, his stamina in using the form is much smaller, and he can be tired out easily. Turbo Granny can travel between cell phones, but we've never seen Okarun do this by himself in this form, however. Okarun can also become helicopter hehe

Okarun once pushed this form past it's limits of 2 All-Outs and achieved are more berserk and feral form than normal. The side effects are greater exhaustion, and it has appeared only briefly in the manga, but it definitely is noteworthy. Eating curry can also help him access this form for some reason too.

Acrobatic Silky

"Mom. I love you, because I was the happiest in the whole Universe."

Aira's own yokai, Acrobatic Silky, comes from a darker background. Originally a living struggling woman who deeply cared for her daughter by working odd jobs and teaching her acrobatics, a man who she owed money to came and beat her and took her daughter. Knowing that she would never see her daughter again, she danced one last time before throwing herself off a roof, her final thoughts being her daughter.

As a spirit, she wandered those streets, forgetting what her life was like, until one day, young Aira Shiratori, who could see spirits at the time, mistook her for her late mother. This caused a lapse in the woman's memories, believing she was Aira's mother, and she became Acrobatic Silky, and relentlessly pursued Aira until she would meet her again someday.

After merging with Silky, Aira's hybrid form gained a partial mask and longer hair, and she became more... acrobatic. Despite Silky herself having moved to the afterlife, Aira could still use her spiritual power.

Aira can now manipulate and elongate her hair to wrap around things and objects in a limitedly similar way to Momo's own psychic hands. She gained much more agility, and even packs a much, much, stronger kick.

She eventually gained access to the Power of Words and the Spiral Power, allowing her to use her biggest technique as of now, the Piroutte Noble Drill, in which she wraps her hair around her and transforms into a living Giga Drill, before charging at her opponent to deal heavy damage. She can also wrap it around herself for a defensive mechanic.

Evil Eye

Is this Ranma Saotome????

Evil Eye is Jiji's not-so-personal yokai. Technically, since it isn't much combat applicable, since Jiji doesn't fight using Evil Eye much, we won't go too much into it's details, but we can bring up some noteworthy stuff.

As a human, he didn't live very long, as far as we know. It was sacrificed by the Kito Family one day, and became a Yokai! Typical and understandable crashout. Anyways, it possessed Jiji, which caused him to go berserk. After it was controlled, something weird happened. When splashed with cold water, he would turn into Evil Eye, but with warm water, back to Jiji. Like I said, Ranma Saotome.

The Evil Eye can manipulate grudges. He can create a Panic Bubble-like Grudge House, a house shaped dome that traps enemies inside while leaving outside forces out, and he can enter the house and take care of all the enemies inside. However, enough power can destroy the barrier, so still ain't beating Goku.

He can also make a Grudge Ball, which can be launched at high speeds and ricochet off walls, doing heavy damage and leaving enemies nowhere to run, and the only way to stop it is to match it in power or dodge. He can freely manipulate these two as long as he's in control, so that's a plus. The minus is that only Evil Eye and not Jiji can do this, so he'd have to switch fully to Evil Eye.

Jiji can access this guy's power through Spiral Power, by synchronizing their power into one, or through switching into Evil Eye and back out in a instant, compared to the flickering of a lightbulb, which can increase his striking power in short bursts at a time.

Feats

Note that "Tons of Force" is not "Tons of TNT" but rather Lifting Strength feats.

Delta Warriors

Overall

  • Sealed multiple Dark Fountains
  • Fought Spamton, Jevil, King, Queen, etc...
  • Recruited multiple enemies
  • ACTed their way through things
  • was on Tenna's gameshow
  • the game(s) supports LGBTQ so yay
  • Kris totally didn't manipulate Noelle like a sociopath
  • Used the power of friendship
  • Toby Fox made the game as a fever dream lol
  • became a big shot I guess

The SOUL

The SOUL, aka us is unironically the person here in this fight with the best feats. It's a bit of a upscale from the other characters we've seen, having literal feats up to City Level and, more importantly, Speed of Light movement speed
Despite these being feats from the SOUL itself, Susie can still tag the SOUL in her first fight against Kris and Ralsei with Lancer, though, implying similar speeds for most of the cast. The cast have also dodged some attacks in cutscenes too, without SOULS, so it's possible to scale to it.

Kris can also scale relative to the SOUL, and thus characters that scale to him can be as powerful.

Wait also what am I doing putting this in a separate section the SOUL dodging feats counts for Kris naturally wth-

Occult Club

Overall

  • Beat Turbo Granny, Serpos, Acrobatic Silky, The Tulpas, and Unji Zuma
  • Got Okarun's balls back
  • Have NOT given the Serpos their bananas (if ykyk)
  • Momo was Tatsu's favorite character comparable to Superman
  • Have stopped alien invasions at times
  • Became friends with each other (no shit duh)
  • Banger theme song
  • Okarun pulled two baddies tbh
  • "Anime of the Year" Candidate (but lost to Somid Leveling)

Scaling

Keep in mind that the Fun Gang and Occult Club only scale to a casual Roaring Knight and Reiko Kashima, respectively, as they've both fought these enemies before but they would have been/were defeated if they went all out.

Also, we'll just include some of their minor allies in here as well don't mind that.

Misc

  • Pizzapants runs really fast, like REALLY FAST god damn, and this ain't even the Dark World (Mach 0.96)
    • Turbo Granny been real quiet since this dropped
  • The Thrash Machine could reflect Giga Queen's ball back in a one frame punch (Mach 150, 30fps Deltarune, and it's consistent because Queen calls it slow moving in comparison)
  • Light World Undyne broke a table by slamming it casually.
  • Light World Undyne could also bench press a ton of cars. (CHILL OUT BRUH)

Weaknesses

Delta Warriors

HOLY SHIT IS THAT THE FUCKING NIKE LOGO OF DOOM????

The Delta Warriors have a lot of weaknesses. To make this simpler, I'll divide this into certain sections detail each party member.

Kris: Has not shown as much weakness as the other two, but can be caught by suprise a lot of times, which is how he's been overpowered by King and caught up in fighting NEO although he's quick to recover. They're also a arcade machine victim because they aren't tall enough. If he's outclassed in raw power by himself, they could be driven into a corner.
Ralsei: Is generally the weakest of the trio, having the least health and dealing the least damage. Average support main tbh. He's also not the biggest violence fan, and has been subject to mental torment before, but usually is fine mostly during battles.
Susie: The most reckless of the three despite being the physically strongest, and usually a person that dives headfirst in without thinking. She's good at quick thinking, but is usually not the brightest among her team members. She's also been shown to get cocky at times, which has lead to her downfall, just like with the Knight.

Together, they usually rely on teamwork (although Kris and Susie have fought individually, such as with Spamton NEO in Snowgrave and Gerson), and if they're unlucky enough, they could all be defeated by powerful enough foes even together. (It's happened with King's suprise attack, GIGA Queen, and the Roaring Knight.)

That's not to say they're a bad team, though. They work together and get along just fine, it's just the scenarios they're in that puts pressure on them all.

Occult Club

LOCK IN GUYS YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO SAVE THE WORLD BRUH

Same thing here, I'll divide this for each party member, just for the sake of keeping this simpler.

Momo: Despite being the leader (or one of) of the Occult Club, she's not too versatile in her own power set, being usually among the slower side (she's fast, but not as fast as people like Okarun) that keeps a distance, relying on her psychokinesis. Those psychic arms she wields can be broken with enough damage dealt to them, causing her pain and the inability to use her psychokinesis. Also can't use her final form yet dang.
Okarun: Usually only able to go into two bursts of Turbo Granny's maximum power, and usually works best together with Momo, and not away from her, although it helps Momo more than himself, to be fair. His aura can also be sealed, preventing use of his powers, and being in his yokai form drains his stamina over time.
Aira: Usually suffers the most beatdowns out of the group, and if her acrobatics are restrained or hindered, then she can be left vulnerable to attacks. She can be overwhelmed if the opponent launches a quick barrage of attacks, hindering her ability to counterattack, and sneak attacks also catch her off guard as well.
Jiji: Is usually compassionate, which allowed the Evil Eye to deceive him. Even Turbo Granny was warning him and his stubbornness was still superior, which could get him in trouble. (Idk fraudbattles wiki is telling me this their words not mine) Also, using the Evil Gun causes recoil, and hurts his hands upon usage.

Like the Fun Gang, despite their weaknesses, they still work well together, and you can't deny that, really. They've beaten multiple enemies despite the odds or how insufferable they might look.

One Last Thing(s)...

Both

Why use these teams like this?

Now, why did we use these teams.

For the Occult Club, it was more simple. Kinta, Bamora, and Seiko have helped out the Occult Club on many occasions depending on the person, and are viable to consider. Easy peasy, they get invited for this death battle.

For the Fun Gang, it was a little more complicated. Sure, these teammates have helped out in battle, but Ralsei does note that things like the property of darkness in certain Dark Worlds not being pure, and thus cannot support inhabitants outside their own, and outside Darkners from other Dark Worlds usually turn to stone, as seen with Lancer in Chapter 2. This shows a problem for including Gerson and Lancer in a fight together. However, powerful Darkners like Rouxls could last long enough to fight Kris and Ralsei, and Gerson is admittedly one of the strongest Darkners out there, so he should last long enough anyways.

However, Castle Town is stated to have a pure form of darkness, and can support pretty much all Darkners. It's been used as a battleground before against Lancer (although that was admittedly when Ralsei was it's only legal resident), and maybe could be used? It's up to interpretation, honestly.

However, what about Noelle and Berdly? Noelle is simple, since she's been fighting with Kris in Chapter 2 (and never appears again bruh). Berdly is also complex, but he's clearly on the Fun Gang's side right now (assuming this ain't Snowgrave), and has:
  • Almost assisted the Fun Gang in fighting Queen, to which she had to trick them while she retreated because she explicitly states her ass would have been kicked.
  • Was a important plot point to getting the Thrash Machine into fighting shape.
Just like Kinta and Bamora, Berdly is sorta maybe needed for the Thrash Machine as Kinta for the Great Kinta and Bamora for her exosuit.

One final thing, are we using Snowgrave or Normal Noelle?

I mean, Noelle can get strong and use Snowgrave without necessarily needing to kill Berdly, but Noelle won't actually get Snowgrave for the fight unless as some sort of, I dunno, last resort.

Plus, these bonus team members are only part of... well, a bonus, not really relevant to the verdict scenario, so keep that in mind.

Dark Worlds make you stronger?

There's that argument online that going into Dark Worlds just screw the Fun Gang over because their opponents would power up. Is this true? Maybe. But for this matchup, that's only possible for verse equalization, which we aren't using.

We have like, NO FUCKING clue what would happen to the Occult Club if they entered a Dark World. Would Okarun get a spell that involves him traveling back in TIME? Yeah, we dunno. So for this matchup, we'll be using Dark World Fun Gang, and Normal Occult Club powers.

So yeah, keep that in mind. It's to make it less confusing, you know.

Delta Warriors

Spamton NEO, we need to talk.

WHERE TF DOES THIS COME FROM

So during Spamton NEO's superboss fight that you can achieve in the normal route by doing a optional sidequest, you'll notice that there's randomly a Spamtonland in the background. How did that get there? He made it, of course.

This makes sense, because at the end of the fight, Spamton decides to even delete this city altogether. Now, this feat is clearly vague, but it does point towards Spamton for creating it, because who else would just summon a conviently Spamton-themed city when he also just happens to be there, when it clearly wasn't there before? Hmmm...

So yes, he does make a city just to flex on you. However, do the Fun Gang actually scale to his power output???

Well, they are shown to be able to tank his attacks up to his strongest and dodge them, and this is further went and proved further in the Snowgrave route, in which Kris fights Spamton NEO solo, and actually harms him enough to using his Bluelight Specil, which could increase his defense by a big margin.

Even then, Noelle was still able to killbeat him with a IceShock, and although that would normally bypass durability, in Noelle's case she has to fully defeat a opponent with IceShock, meaning that she must have exerted enough power to defeat and freeze him.

However, then again, this feat is awfully vague, but on the topic of the Delta Warriors scaling to this being valid, it honestly might be, actually. Looking at all this, and as there's more city level arguments anyways, so this adds to consistency.

(still up to you though if YOU yourself think it's true *wink*)

Ralsei travel scaling?

In Chapter 2, Ralsei moves from Castle Town to Cyber City in a assumed timeframe of 4 minutes, assuming the timeframe it took for Kris and Susie to meet him after entering the Dark World.

So I struggled to make made a calculation here.

...

However, that calc was actually made for JOKE PURPOSES, Ralsei never did allat. We just thought it would be funny lol. So no, it's NOT VALID as a feat, like, at ALL. But Susie could walk faster than sound waves and Pizzapant ran fast so-

Dark Fountains?

Yet another argument for city level Deltarune. In Deltarune Chapter 2, Kris was shown to make a Dark Fountain leading to Tenna's Dark World. According to Queen, this is achieved by channeling enough DETERMINATION into a blade and plunging it into the ground, causing the Darkness to sprout upwards and make a Dark World.

The reason this gets up to City Level is because Cyber World, chapter 2's Dark World, has been shown to be a entire city. There's also the argument that they create starry skies... but for the sake of simplicity, we won't be regarding any of that.

Now, first off, does this translate to their AP?

It's been explained by Ralsei that a person's soul is their will, and thus the SOUL should be able to exert this city level force of power. However, Kris does make a Dark Fountain without the SOUL, but it's probably because they has their own type of soul, considering their existence. Not to mention, the SOUL is the thing releasing the power to seal up Dark Fountains in the first place, and could probably scale regardless.

Kris can utilize the SOUL's power and bestow it upon other teammates, take Susie, which empowers her Rude Buster into the Red Buster, dealing more damage. They use this against the boss characters of the chapter, and those boss characters can tank the attacks and still keep fighting. And we know that the Fun Gang could still scale to them anyways.

This is further explained in chapter 4, where the biggest point in this case comes up; the Titan.

The Titan has been shown to be summoned from the power of a Dark Fountain that's summoned in a preexisting Dark World, which implies a similar level of power to a Dark Fountain. These things are beings of chaos and destruction, and would eventually destroy the world, although the exact timeframe isn't clear.

Now you might be like, "they dont scale they couldnt defeat it physically the SOUL had to kill it". This backs up the fact that the SOUL just scales to it. Plus, the cast does momentarily fight it and tank its hits, contending with it up to the point where it's forced to regenerate. SOUL powered attacks should still be stronger than it's high defense, which is true, since the DualBuster also has Kris empowering Susie and Gerson with the SOUL to be able to break the Titan's defenses through sheer force, and Gerson's hammers could casually already weaken it heavily without that power, and Susie fought him once.

According to this Youtube vid (this was a lifesaver), the AP of a Dark fountain reaches from 22 Megatons of TNT, to 141 Megatons of TNT, the latter assuming the size of NYC.

It's fine to say that they do scale to city level with this argument. Which just leaves another thing for clarification. Are they f*cking island to country level for a durability feat?

Tanking the Dark World's mass

In that same video above, the scaler introduces another end of the calc, in which Kris and Susie, whilst opening Dark Fountains, supposedly tank the mass of the Darkness being flung up at them. We are shown that this does happen, as when Kris leaps up after opening one in Chapter 2, some Darkness is flung aside.

Arguments for

  • The video assumes that the Darkness is in fact, the density of air, and cannot be highballed since air has the lowest density and whatnot.
  • Darkness has been shown similarly in chapter 4, and it is the thing that makes Dark Worlds, meaning that it would be equivalent to a Dark World and it's contents.

Arguments against

  • The scaler themselves also calls it flimsy, not to mention it's a outlier, and their Light World counterparts survive this, by standards.
  • The Fountain maintains the structure of the Dark World, and does not equate to the Dark World as a whole.
Overall, this feat is moreso up to interpretation, but we won't be using this in our own verdict of the blog, since it's also a never-before heard of way of scaling this feat, and the scaler themselves calls it a bit of a highball themselves. Plus, there's Multi-Solar System arguments, which... yeah we need more lore, sorry, it's also a big outlier. (trying to avoid controversy be like)

As for the scaler, kudos and thanks to them for calculating this feat! Dunno where we'd be without them, lol.

Does Gerson have infinite candies?

Short Answer: Fuck no.
Slight Addition to the Short Answer: He has a shit ton of them though

Long Answer: Probably not. Gerson has a lot of them, but I can assure you, it's not infinite. He could just have a couple thousand, which could still last a long time (though it's probably still not that high). Dark Candies are infinitely purchasable, but it's not like Gerson can just, y'know, walk out of battle to a local vendor and go "yo gimme some cand e".

So again, no, but he's got a lot.

Occult Club

Dimensional Scaling?

I know, I know. Momo can attack other dimensions. Does that make her universal? No. It's more of a hax ability, and something that's gonna be useless in this fight since the Fun Gang doesn't attack from a enclosed dimension. Can still counter Love Train, though.

"Momo transcends dimensions, so she's outer-" fuck no, that's hyperbole. Like, imagine, buying that... you wouldn't, right?

Okay so Momo is not outerversal or universal, but Moe Moe Tri-Beam can attack other dimensions as a hax ability so fuck Love Train and Funny Valentine (unless it counteracts it as misfortune first idk). Cheerio.

Does Turbo Granny get above 100km/h?

In Travel Speed? - Probably. Unless we use Okarun traveling through phone waves (which still depends on the environment as well), then on foot, Travel Speed is still 100km/h, probably. Travel speed is in Okarun just running around going on place to another, while not necessarily in combat.

In Reaction Speed? - Yes. Okarun can cut fingers off faster than one can see (although that could still be within 100km/h boundaries ngl), and dodge supersonic missiles. And should be relative to Jiji reacting to and matching particle beams which would get him at 0.9c anyways.

So tbh, I dunno what the author was cooking. We legit see Okarun react to missile fire. 100km/h my ass, this makes no sense.

Like, SMT Turbo Granny has the same lore? 100km/h, she probably has Immeasurable speed. Wait, SMT scaling-

Do they have SMT Scaling?

It would be funny, but nah honestly. We already have Persona to debate that on, so try asking yourselves that first.

MOMO IS NOT OUTER BRUH!!!!!!!

Where do they ACTUALLY even scale in AP?

DBZ be like at timesEntertainment purposes only

Currently, there's been some debate over where Dandadan actually scales for now.

Some feats can range into the hundreds of tons mostly, up to the lower kilotons, for example, Momo's psychokinesis throwing Bamora, which gets to around 372.04 Tons - 1.405 Kilotons of TNT.

Looking at the calcs, they get up to Large Town level sitting at a good 23.3 Kilotons of TNT, possibly 165 Kilotons using other logic, but that's mostly a highball, due to Evil Eye kicking a shark to the moon. This is currently their peak... right?

There have been two recent calculations that have put the series at much higher, both on VSBattles wiki.

  1. Tsuchinoko blasting sharks at a typhoon to try and cool it down (1.038 Megatons of TNT)
  2. Jiji mixing the ocean water to become cool to disperse a typhoon, which gets up to... oh god... 1.3 GIGATONS of TNT.
These both revolve in some way about the Human Typhoon, but both are actually false. Let me explain real quick.

Tsuchinoko blasts sharks

In the calc above, the reason we got up to 1.038 Megatons was because the LITERAL eye of the storm was put at 30km, even though we see the actual eye, and it's much smaller, around 755m using pixel scaling. This literal eye makes sense because the typhoon has human body parts (this is Dandadan we're talking about do not be surprised.

A friend of mine (thanks Blaze) recalced this feat showing the new sizes, and it got to 138 Tons of TNT.

Jiji mixes water

In the other calc above, the reason they got so high was because the person who made the calc assumed they mixed water up to 4km beneath the surface. No offense or harm meant, but this is unlikely based off a statement by Momo

Momo states here that the cool water they need to mix is 50-100m deep, which is 40-80x less deep then the other calc.

Blaze yet again recalcs this, and even uses a high end of 200m. The lowest end gets to 136 Tons of TNT, and the highest is 97 Kilotons. Still high. However, it's likely it's the mid end, 4-35 Kilotons based off Momo's statement of 50-100m. It's also far more consistent anyways, rather than a questionable outlier.

Anyways, point still stands. The Occult Club rests at a good Large Town Level, around 25-35 Kilotons, and 165 Kilotons of TNT at a highball.

Do Momo's techniques work on the SOUL?

This is a much bigger factor then you'd expect. Can things like Pomade and Seiko's barriers probably halt the SOUL? If we're talking about those two abilities in general, probably not.

Those two abilities are somewhat reliant on countering evil spirits/yokai, and probably not the SOUL. Now let's see, can we compare the two types of things?

Here's a comparision between the two types of beings.

Yokais are general popular spirits that have passed away, and feed on life force in hopes of regaining a physical body, or so they say. They're known to be hostile to humans, and a main centerpoint involving the use of spirit mediums is because they're classified evil spirits in some way. These ghosts are like legends or folklore, and have made themselves popular among the human population.

On the other hand, the SOUL is essentially the culmination of one's very being, and as Ralsei has stated, embodies their will, and is essentially the source of "Determination". This SOULs should be similar to the one we see in Undertale in terms of properties, except no "25,000 monsters = 1 human SOUL", because it is stated you kinda have to familiar with the game to understand Deltarune better.

Plus, it's not exactly evil, from what we can tell. Disregarding Snowgrave,  The SOUL's intentions are actually currently unknown, but it's not like they're the one's making Dark Fountains... it's just their body, by standards.

So in turn, the SOUL and yokai identify as different things, and as such, things like Pomade probably would not work. However, the SOUL being kinda like your life force is similar to aura.

Considering how Momo's psychokinesis can turn off aura, it could definitely work on the SOUL, as long as she keeps a concentrated grip on it, and assuming she's fast enough to even get it in the first place. There's no "it's stronger" or anything, Momo could temporarily seal Reiko's abilities as well.

There is that one argument that you would have to overpower Kris to get control over the SOUL, as implied by Spamton NEO, who tried killing him to get it, but had to get past the Fun Gang, but personally, it shouldn't be much of a problem for Momo... hopefully.

Verdict

Alright, this is it, fellas. It's time to measure their stats and abilities and see who would win. We decided that there would be 3 important factors in this fight, Stats, Versatility, and Skill.

Key: Fun Gang, Occult Club.

First off,

Stats

In power, this one should be clear cut. The Occult Club's low ends got up to 372 Tons of TNT from Momo lifting Bamora, but the Fun Gang could take hits from the Titan, which should reasonably still scale above GIGA Queen, even if you didn't use Dark Fountain scaling, so the Titan should be around 2 Kilotons of TNT, making the Fun Gang 5 times stronger.

The Occult Club's mid ends got to around 1.4 Kilotons of TNT using that same calc on a higher end, but using the baseball feat's higher ends also got to around 39 Kilotons of TNT at the highest.

At their highest ends, Evil Eye kickin' a good ol shark to the moon clocked in at 23-165 Kilotons of TNT, but that's where Dark Fountain scaling came in with the Titan, and that shot the Fun Gang up to 23-141 Megatons of TNT. Nearly a thousand times stronger!

Even if you wanted to use those really funny outlier feats that actually aren't usable, it's still 1.8 Gigatons of TNT vs 305 Gigatons (The 4km mixing water VS tanking the mass of a fountain). The Fun Gang took power.

For speed, this was less clear cut. The Fun Gang evaded Zapper's lasers, which was around 0.61c, but the Occult Club were as fast as particle beams! That's 0.9c, or 1.33x faster. However, they weren't always faster. The Fun Gang had many ways to speed themselves up through acts like HoldBreath, and could slow the Occult Club down with Trap afterwards. This way, they could close the small speed gap, or even surpass them altogether. Even if it's a slight difference, that's all they need.

1 point for the Fun Gang.

Versatility

This one was also pretty hard to think of.

The Occult Club had things like Spiral Power, which could amplify attacks, and the Power of Words could boost their strength, but that was dwarfed in the sheer amount of ACTs that the Fun Gang could possibly pull out. We couldn't even list them all!

The Moe Moe Tri-beam was impressive, but it's power was based on Momo's own stamina, and could flop if she was tired. Thankfully, Kris's ACTs like Lecture could tire the foes, which not only reduces their power, but leaves them open to be put to sleep, which the Occult Club could not counter. This could be devastating, as being asleep left them vulnerable.

On the bright side though, the Occult Club didn't need Tension Points like the Fun Gang, but there were multiple items that could increase their TP regardless, and the Occult Club didn't have nearly as many effective ways to bring back downed allies, while the Fun Gang had healing abilities and items that could revive people in a pinch, and you would have to get all 3 of them down, and that would be extremely difficult for the Occult Club with the stats gap.

Now, Momo could secure the SOUL, and nullify most of Kris's abilities, but she'd have to focus on that, and that's assuming she gets the opening and is fast enough. However, the SOUL's yellow mode could possibly keep away the arms for a little bit, but even if she does get it, those arms could still be broken by the other team members, and she wouldn't be able to use them for a while, which isn't good for the Occult Club.

Hell, it's even possible to just remove her from the picture altogether, as shown with Reiko when she fought Momo and Bamora, when she knocked her into a wall, and she wasn't able to come back until a few minutes later. As we know, things like Pomade also wouldn't work, and even with the power nullification, and not scaling Susie and Ralsei to full power, which is being admittedly generous, downscaling to 1/10th of it would still put them at 2.3 -14 Megatons, and still powerful enough to surpass the Occult Club in power.

That's also not to mention the SOUL's mind reading and it's clairvoyance, which could theoretically allow it to see what they were planning next, and know what's coming. (Where was this in canon smh). However, it's important to mention Momo herself has been able to view memories, but that's less battle specific. Plus, while Momo's awakened form could provide some cool stuff... Momo can't actually utilize it, similar to Okarun's astral transformation.

Despite all the factors here, the Fun Gang had more reliable options here. Their sleep abilities could not be resisted by the Occult Club, who's only viable strategy was to try and nullify the SOUL, could have some weaknesses that could be exploited, rendering it unusable most of the time.

The Fun Gang takes this, but not without a fight.

Skill

In terms of raw skill, this was pretty much clear cut. Both the Fun Gang and the Occult Club were exceptional at teamwork, and Kris's leadership and Momo's quick thinking in some situations were pretty much big factors in their teamwork, and neither had a advantage over the other... right?

Well, the Occult Club has been doing their shtick for far more longer than the Fun Gang. This is months vs days. Not saying the Fun Gang can't throw hands, but saying they could live up to the Occult Club would be lying. Especially when you consider their more formal training by some like Seiko, who have been spirit mediums longer than Kris was in high school.

While the Fun Gang had armor and far more weapons, Okarun still had some nanoskin (although he doesn't use this to the same degree as Kinta), and that would effectively render their overall equipment in a draw regardless.

Sure, the Fun Gang were fast learners and could catch up, Jiji himself was also a prodigy, and Aira and Okarun have honed their yokai powers much better and for much longer, and Ralsei hasn't really been fighting - we don't know. He just said he's been spending his entire life sitting in his castle, not what he was doing. He's smart, we'll give him that, but Seiko was still a better teacher in most aspects.

In a not-so-debatable round, the Occult Club gains a point.

Scenarios

Scenario One - Main Team

Now we're in the final stretch of our blog. It's time to end this debate once and for all! For more information, see Important Factors.

Momo, Okarun, Aira, and Jiji, VS Kris, Susie, and Ralsei. In terms of overall power, as in AP and Durability, the Lancer Fan Club took this. Jiji kicking a shark to the moon got from 23 Kilotons of TNT, up to 165 Kilotons of TNT, which sure isn't anything to scoff at, but the Fun Gang's Titan and Dark Fountain scaling got them up to 23 Megatons of TNT, up to 141 Megatons of TNT, making them nearly a thousand times more powerful.

As for speed, this would be much closer. The Occult Club had some particle beam scaling, putting them at 0.9c, while the Fun Gang had up to 0.61c. However, things like ScaredyCat and HoldBreath could close, if not somewhat surpass, the speed gap, especially the latter. Assuming a 2x speed boost, this would make the Fun Gang up to 1.33x faster, which doesn't seem like much, but the Occult Club gets less hits in, while the Fun Gang gets in more, which is especially helpful.

In terms of versatility, the Occult Club had many yokai abilities and trick up their sleeves, but they couldn't resist being put to sleep by Ralsei, or even drained of energy by a lot of Kris's abilites, which would leave them vulnerable to attack, and considering the massive stat gap, that would essentially be all they need to get in a devastating hit. The Occult Club was much better at range, however, and could keep them back while coming up with something, but Kris's clairvoyance and mind reading thanks to the SOUL could probably get past that, so smarts is likely out.

There's also Momo being able to temporarily seal the SOUL, preventing use of it's abilities, but that would require her to focus on controlling it. That leaves her vulnerable to attacks by the other members of the Fun Gang, which can wear down her psychokinesis and render it unusable, allowing the SOUL to rejoin combat.

That, and combining the fact that thanks to their healing methods, the Occult Club would have a hard time putting down the Fun Gang, whereas the Fun Gang had options to secure the dub more easily, in the end.

Bonus Scenario - Including Allies

For a little fun situation. We'll be having more allies, plus a mech fight lets goooo.

In terms of a lot of things, it'll go mainly similar to everything we just mentioned before, like the stats gap and whatnot. We'll just talk about their mechs and their support.

First off, support. The Fun Gang does gain more members to match them now (7 on 7) but Lancer and Berdly are probably the weakest on here, and Noelle would be too, but she constantly grows throughout battle at a frightening rate, and actually has similar stats to the Chapter 4 Fun Gang at the end of the chapter. Berdly was also responsible for the Thrash Machine coming together by gathering Darkners to fuse with his... goofy little statue. And Lancer is Lancer. But we also possibly get Gerson, who is probably one of the strongest Darkners we've met and can contend with the Titan.

On the other hand, the Occult Club gains Seiko Ayase, someone who utterly even more dwarfs the Fun Gang in experience, and Bamora and Kinta, who have giant mechs. While Bamora's exosuit could be probably outclassed by the Fun Gang, as I've calculated the Thrash Machine is up to 53m in height, and could fight Queen, who was 80, because it's height ranges from 45m to 91m in some calcs, and thus the Thrash Machine could contend with and defeat it, the Great Kinta is a different story. It's strongest form is at least half the height of Tokyo Tower, which puts that at a whopping 166.5 meters tall, which DWARFS the Thrash Machine.

Sure, the Great Kinta swinging around the Tokyo Tower got it to around 522 Tons of TNT at a reasonable end (another calc by me yay), which was beaten by the Thrash Machine reflecting Queen's giant baseball back at her, which was around 2 Kilotons at least, and the baseball feat has calcs getting it up to 39 Kilotons of TNT, and thanks to LaserMode granting it a speed boost described as "a light-quick aura", this suggests similar speed, as well as probably reacting to Queen's supposed lasers from her acid cup (Debatable). The Thrash Machine could take stats. This doesn't go well with the fact the nanoskin is noted for it's low durability.

However, the Great Kinta was much more versatile, being able to transform itself to Kinta's imagination, as well as being much taller. It could regenerate better than the Thrash Machine, and do lots of crazy stuff with nanoskin, providing a versatility advantage, as well as a skill advantage. This is excluding Bamora's exosuit, and together, they could give the Thrash Machine a hard time, but it's hard for them to even possibly beat the Thrash Machine because of it's durability and it's own healing factor.

So in terms of mechs, the results is undecided as it could go either way, making their mechs a tie (Although me personally Great Kinta has more aura), but since the Fun Gang could fight the Titan, another colossal being, it could give them a slight edge anyways, considering the stats gap.

Memes :)

Considering the comedic nature of both series, I'm gonna add some memes here about the MU, while the voters are voting.

Have a laugh! (maybe)
